I'm definitely a broke college kid, so when I find a deal - I'm as happy as a sea monkey.

GREAT NEWS!

#1. We met our Kaplan goal! Kaplan was very impressed with our turnout at this Saturday's practice test -- thank you to everyone who helped spread the word! We have earned a free Kaplan test certificate, which will be a great fundraiser. (Let me know if you or a friend are interested in a Kaplan test prep course.)

#2. We've officially filled all of our senior portraits appointments! Our photo studio has even opened up April dates, but seniors are still welcome to walk-in this week (they just might have to wait for an appointment -- mornings and late afternoons are the least busy).

YAY.

awkward!

So, I found a shopping basket in our new fourth floor office. I immediately thought of its usefulness, how we could use it for early-morning flyering (plug: Wednesday, 7:30-9am!). I asked Ann Marie if she needed it, and she said we were welcome to take it.

Fast forward to Saturday morning, when I filled it with flyers, staplers and chalk to do some light flyering... I took the elevator to the second floor of MLK to cut through the Student Store, like I always do... except as soon as I walked in, I realized the basket is from the Student Store!!! Needless to say, the employees all stared at me like I was crazy as I entered, then exited, with one of their baskets... Maybe I'll anonymously return it?!? Or just avoid the store, haha.

Thanks for a great staff social, everyone! We had pizza, candy, photos wars and a competitive game of Time's Up (actually, Lydia & Amy clobbered us). I'm glad y'all made it :D

I think I'll post a photo from our social in the fall...when it was cloudy and kind of cold, but fun nonetheless. =)

Welcome to the Blue & Gold Yearbook's Official Blog

This blog is open to all current, past and future members of Cal's Blue & Gold Yearbook staff.

Feel free to post any tidbits about the going-ons in the office, photos you want to share, information about upcoming events or random pieces of information. (Any one what to guess the most common font found on the internet?)

Enjoy!
